Day 01: EASTER ISLAND
Arrival at the airport Mataveri. Reception and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02: EASTER ISLAND
Full day tour visiting the archaeological site of Akahanga, volcano Rano Raraku and its quarry where almost all of the existing moai were carved, more than 300 statues made in different construction processes, and one that is 21m, the equivalent of a seven floors building. Visit to Ahu Tongariki, where the colossal statues were scattered by the tsunami of 1960. Visits to Ahu Te Pito Kura and Ngau Ngau. Picnic lunch on Anakena beach. Return to the hotel.
Day 03: EASTER ISLAND
Half day visit to the Rano Kau volcano, the ceremonial city of Orongo, with its concentration of petroglyphs, and Vinapu, with its two ahu. Half day visit to Ahu Akivi, with its 7 moai facing the sea, the caves of Ana Tepahu and Pun-a-Pau. Return to the hotel.
Day 04: EASTER ISLAND
Transfer from the hotel to the airport. |
