Day 01 (Sat): MEXICO CITY
Transfer to the chosen hotel and accommodation.
Day 02 (Sun): MEXICO CITY - MORELIA - PATZCUARO
Breakfast. Trip to Morelia, a Cultural and Historic Heritage site, worldwide known for its student habitat and its magnificent colonial buildings of 'pink quarry', as the Cathedral, Government Palace, Clavijero Palace, the Plaza Mayor, the market of typical candies, the Aqueduct and the Guadalupita Temple at Convent San Diego, with its majestic indigenous baroque décor. Continuation to Patzcuaro. Accommodation.
Day 03 (sec): PATZCUARO - GUADALAJARA
Breakfast. Visit to the House of Eleven Patios, Cathedral of Our Lady of Health, Library Gertrudis Bocanegra, with murals painted by the renowned muralist Juan O'Gorman, Plaza Don Vasco de Quiroga and its typical indigenous market. Continuation to Guadalajara. Accommodation.
Day 04 (Tue): GUADALAJARA - TEQUILA - TLAQUEPAQUE - GUADALAJARA
Breakfast. Departure for the 'Tequila' region, which is also a cultural and historical site. At the Amatitlán village visitors go to the Hacienda San José del Refugio, which hosts one of the country's best distilleries of Tequila, to see the whole manufacturing process of tequila. After the visit, continuation to San Pedro Tlaquepaque, where the inhabitants are dedicated to the glassblowing manufacturing and all kinds of handicrafts. Accommodation.
Day 05 (Wed): GUADALAJARA - GUANAJUATO
Breakfast. The day begins at the historic district visiting the Degollado Theater, Cathedral, Main Square, Government Palace and the Cabañas Orphanage with its famous murals painted by Orozco, which are cultural and historic heritage sites. Continuation to Guanajuato and accommodation.
Day 06 (Thu): GUANAJUATO - SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE
Breakfast. The tour starts at the world's cultural and historic heritage town of Guanajuato, visiting the Basílica, the University, its mansions, temples, its picturesque narrow colonial streets its underground streets (ancient river beds) and the famous Callejon del Beso (The Kissing Alameda) . Continuation to San Miguel de Allende, arrival and visit to the city recently named a world cultural and historic heritage site by UNESCO. Accommodation.
Day 07 (Fri): SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE - QUERÉTARO - MEXICO CITY
Breakfast. Departure to Querétaro, which is also a cultural and historic heritage site, to visit the cathedral, convents, manor houses, streets, squares and alleys, and the world famous Convent of the Crosses. Return to Mexico City and to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 08 (Sat): MEXICO CITY
Breakfast. The tour starts with the visit to the Cultural and Historic Heritage downtown district, where are the National Palace and its beautiful murals painted by the great muralist Diego Rivera, the Constitution Square or 'Zocalo', the main Aztec temple and the Metropolitan Cathedral, as well some of the main avenues. Then visit to Chapultepec Park, one of the most important residential areas of Mexico City, and the 'Pink Zone'. Accommodation.
Day 09 (Sun): MEXICO CITY
At indicated time, transfer to the airport for departure flight.
For departures to Patzcuaro on Sunday, passengers must arrive to Mexico City minimum one day before. |
